Bathing in the Blood

I can't get ice in the winter right now.

Reds buried Pinerio and the Cards last night.

I am going to look up to the Degenerate Gods right now, and plead and beg like John Turturro in Miller's Crossing.

"Look in your heart! Look in your heart!"...

for a winner please!!!

Lets try afternoon baseball, so if I lose, I can get drunk for Happy Hour. The irony in that.

Lannan usually shuts the Mets down, and Redding has been pitching well lately.

Bad Streak

Lost the football game last night. Lost the parlay. Hit the Over in Tor/Bos in 32 minutes of gametime.

The bankroll is now $8,380.

Thinking about going a little drastic tonight. Little desperation is in the air. Starting to feel those shakes. Undecided about any prediction you think in your mind..... you ask yourself if this will ever end.

Yes, we need a winner tonight!

We will go with the Cardinals and Pinerio, -125 over the Reds. He pitched very well the last time against the Reds, and ther Cards smacked around Reds starter Homer Bailey.

Risk $500 to Win $400.

Tomorrow, I will fix up the stats, promise.

Tricks of the Trade

Wound up going 3-5. First losing Sunday of the NFL season. Its not like we handicapped poorly this time. Lets me explain.

Baltimore did score 34 points for us in a 38.5 point O/U. You telling me the Browns could not get 6 points? Disgraceful. Maybe Mangini can fine those clowns are playing like Pop Warner kids.

Indy gave us 31 points. Shouldve been a slam dunk Over. Cardinals 3 times moved the ball deep and forked it up. Kurt Warner at the end of the game looked like a deer in headlights as well.

I got NO shot at the Over in the Buffalo game, but +6.5 was a real shot. The Bills defense holds the Saints to 10 points for 3 and a half quarters and that offense could not help them out? Trent Edwards is a stiff. I was watching this game. The Saints started to double team the backup TE because Edwards is so afraid to throw the ball downfield. Horrific!

The bankroll is taking a beating lately. Down to $8,670. I feel like Little Orphan Funkhouser in Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Ok, Monday Night time.

Both Carolina and Dallas defenses have been trashed the first two weeks of the season. Carolina cannot stop the run, and Dallas just put up 250 yards on one of the best defenses in the league, the Giants.

Expect some big plays in this game. Steve Smith, Roy Williams, DA Williams, and Felix Jones. At least one defensive TD in this game.  Has a feel of a 34-24 game.

Over 48 Risk $440 to Win $400.

Cole Hamels against some stiff named Bazardo? Who is getting more hits off of him than Paris Hilton's sex tape. Josh Beckett gets hammered by the Blue Jays. SMALL PARLAY TIME!

Risk $150 for Hamels -260, Over 9 in the Phils-Stros game, and Over 9 -120 in the Jays-RSox game.

Win is $565

We will also bet the Over in the Blue Jay- Red Sox game seperate. I also just saw that Jays SP Scott Richmond is getting hammered lately. Over 9 -120.

Risk $360 to Win $300.

LETS GO!!!!

Pay that Vig!

Yesterday was the perfect example of how bookies and Vegas make profit. They do not care who wins or lose, just hand that Vig in.

We went 3-3 last night in College Football, which is an improvement for the season, but we got to pay that Vig of $90.

The bankroll is now $9,420.

Before I get onto greener pastures, and my NFL picks, did anyone see that Texas Tech-Houston game last night? It might of been the single worst refereed game I have ever seen. That speaks volumes.

TT has the ball with 9 minutes left, up 28-23. They have a 4th and Goal at the Houston 1. They go for it. which makes no sense in the first place. Kick the Field Goal, and you force Houston to go for 2. QB sneak, and he was stuffed, and lost foward progress for a second, no whistle.... regains it.... no whistle, then falls into the end zone.... finally the whistle blows. Touchdown Tech? No. The Line Judge all the way on the other side of the field called the play dead without blowing a whistle!

I have never seen that before. Anyway, long story short, Houston drives 99 yards, Touchdown, MISSED the 2 point conversion and win 29-28. Now, if the proper call was made, Tech is up 35-23, and Houston scores and the Over is in play. That Line Judge got his wallet lined with pretty green I think.

NFL Time! Where the DC is 11-3 so far.

Over 38.5 in the Browns/Ravens game.

Bottom line, the Ravens are scoring this season, and in bunches. Flacco, Rice, Heap, and even Willis Mcgahee are moving this offense up and down the field. The best part is, the defense is not stopping much anyway. All the Browns have to do in this game, is give us 10 points, and its a slam dunk.

Risk $330 to Win $300

Texans -3.5 over the Jaguars

The Texans offense opened up last week. The Jags defense got sliced up at home by a pass happy team in the Cards. Andre Johnson has a big game. Steve Slaton finally gets in the endzone.

Risk $330 to Win $300

Buffalo +6.5 and the Over 51.5 against the Saints

The weather will clear out by 4pm. This will be a shootout. I just really think the Bills are pesky enough to keep this game close. Fred Jackson has a big game. Drew Brees is a machine.

Risk $330 to Win $300 on each

NY Giants -6.5 over the Bucs

No Justin Tuck, no problem. Giants will move Kiwi to End this week and barely skip a beat. Eli Manning has looked sharp as well. Brandon Jacobs is salivating to see a bad defense.

Risk $330 to Win $300

Packers -6.5 and Over 42.5 against the Rams

I think last week was just a mirage. The Bengals really do have a very good defense. The game is indoors, and Rodgers and crew will want to put down a statement. Rams score 14 points, this Over is a lock. Stephen Jackson will find the end zone today against a Packer D that got carved up by Cedric Benson!

Risk $330 to Win $300 on both

Note: I really, really wanted to bet the Eagles and the Over 38 in the Redskins-Lions game, but I got scared off. The weather in Philly did it, and the Redskins just scare the shit out of me. Just keep as a side note.

And finally....

Over 48 in the Colts-Cards showdown

Peyton Manning can score 27 in 14 minutes, and gets a soft defense like this that gave up 280 yards to David Gerrard? Oh boy. Arizona should try to run the ball, but they are horrendous in this. SNIFF.... I smell Arena League Football here!

Risk $330 to Win $300

We are keeping the NFL train going. Let's hope for a big week!

Righting the Ship on Saturdays finally...

In a weird turn of events last night, we hit the College Football game, and missed on the baseball bets, giving us a 1-2 night.

The Bankroll is at $9,510.

We are going to go a little drastic today, here we go:

I do not care how bad a team Washington St. is, this USC is not covering 45.5 points to anyone in the Pac-10. All Wash. St. has to do is score one touchdown, by accident, and its a win for the good guys.

Washington St. +45.5 Risk $330 to Win $300

Florida bit me in the ass last week, but I have to go back to them. Urban Meyer teams have scored 45+ on Kentucky three times since 2005. Pile that on with the fact that Kentucky is turnover prone, and Florida will be in tearing out the throat mode after the stinkbomb they put up last week, this game could get ugly.

Florida -21 (Buy the half point) Risk $360 to Win $300

Arkansas can score, and in bunches, but they cannot stop anymore either. I think they can score enough against the vaunted Tide defense to put the Over in play. Bama will put up 40 in this game. I will not touch the spread in the Ark-Bama game, but...

Over 58 Risk $330 to Win $300

Has anyone seen Cincainnati play yet? If you like offense, this team will make you moist. QB Tony Pike is winning some Heisman votes. Fresno St. put up points on the road against Wisconsin and against Boise st., a team that put the clamps on Oregon. Cincy in a blowout? Hmmm...

Over 63 Risk $330 to Win $300

Kansas, and QB Todd Reeising has scored in bunches the past three seasons. Is he the most forgotten player in the country? Southern Miss. is in the Top 20 in offense in the nation. The game is in Kansas, good weather. This one probaly does not take a rocket scientist.

Over 58 Risk $330 to Win $300

And finally, possibly my favorite game of the year. Texas Tech just threw all over Texas. Houston has been unstoppable and beat up on Okie St. at home. Arena League Football in Houston tonight. Wonder why this game is on ESPN tonight? Answer? FOR GAMBLING PURPOSES ONLY!

Over 74 Risk $330 to Win $300

Can we finally have a winning week? Do diamonds rain from the sky?

Uh-Oh... at least the NFL is tomorrow!

Slightly back on the winning way

2-1 Thursday is the right way to get back on track. Hit both baseball games, but we are still getting taken advatage of in Coll. Football, with even getting offered a drink or dinner.

The Bankroll is now $9,855.

Last time I saw Nevada play, they got destroyed by Notre Dame. Missouri is actually playing pretty well.

Let's take Mizzou tonight -7 (buying the half point at -105) to -115

Risk $345 to Win $300

Tonight in baseball, we just simply cannot believe that Timmy Terrific Lincecum will lose two straight on home.  We also think that the Giants will get some runs off of lunatic headcase Carlos Zambrano.

Risk $330 to Win $200 on Lincecum and the Giants

Risk $315 to Win $300 on the Over 7.

I am dreading College Football Saturday. I feel like Laline in Carlito's Way in the wheelchair. "Just keeeeiiillllll me now ya cawkkkkkkksauckkkkerrrr!"

Back on the Board..

Boom! We hit with Hippie Arroyo and the Reds for three bills.

The bankroll is now at $9885.

Oh shit, College Football time, where I have just paid for my bookie's 2 week vacation to Augusta to golf at the Masters.

Lets take the Over 53 in the Ole Miss-South Carolina game.

Risk $330 to Win $300.

I promise another baseball one as well.

I will take the Over 9 in the Phillies-Brewers game, as I think Suppan is a gascan.

Risk $330 to Win $300

And we are back!!!!

We got all the priorities finished. It is time to be a junkie again, but a profittable junkie!

Afternoon baseball! Ah.... perfect on a day off.

Lets ride the red hot Arroyo and the Reds. -135 over the  struggling Pirates.

Risk $405 to Win $300

Be back later with another baseball pick and the college football game tonight.

Life....

Life has been hetic, and it has shown in my picks. Past two days, I have gone 0-4 and my hole has been cracked wide open. I have had been busy with life, and I shouldn't of even made any selections the past two days.

But, thats the true form of a degenerate.

Took one night off the clean my wounds. Will be back tomorrow with picks.

Bankroll is down to $9,585

Baseball 7-9, College Football 4-10, NFL 11-3, Parlays 1-2, Teasers 0-1

Took it in the Can......

Quick post today, as duty calls all day today.

Took it in the can last night. Lost all 3 bets. We are now 11-3 in the NFL.

Lets get back on the board, Cain and the Giants tonight against an undecided pitcher for the DBacks.

Risk $330 to Win $300

More detailed post tomorrow. I promise.

Spinning in Neutral....No More....

The great ones always bounce back stronger after they got knocked down.

After a horrendous 1-3 College Football Saturday, that included 0-3 in College Football itself, I am not going to lie, I felt the pressure to have a big day. I could not get ice in the winter on Saturday. Hell, I was desperate enough to actually do a teaser. (My bookie thanks me privately. I can tell.).

No more desperation now.

How about a 5-0 NFL Sunday on the straight bets! Thats right, if you read this blog, and you rolled the dice on my picks, you at least owe me lunch.

The Over wages in Atlanta and Green Bay were never in doubt. Bengals and Packers actually went Over before halftime. I do not care who you are, everybody likes no stress in winning money.

The Saints scored more on the Eagles than Gene Simmons on a 24 country Kiss World Tour.

Buffalo put an early 17-0 stranglehold on the Bucs, and never really let go, but I did have to be a bit nervous in San Diego, when I saw Phillip Rivers was in Rambo-mode in the 1st half, throwing over 250 yards.

We got through that as well.

Ironically enough, we missed the Teaser, due to the fact that the Packers were exposed at home by the Bengals. I feel tainted just even making a teaser bet. Kind of like a National Title winner in football that had a tie on their records, before the new overtime rules came in effect.

We are now 11-2 in NFL bets, upping the bankroll to $11,040 (up $1,040).

Now, onto the Monday night picks:

There is a few guarentees with the Houston Astros the past few years. Miguel Tejada's age goes up 2 years for every calendar year, Roy Oswalt bulldogs himself into the infirmary, and most important of all, Wandy Rodriguez is GOLD at home!

Lets take Wandy and the Stros -145 and take the Under 8.5 @-120 against the Cardinals.

Risk $435 to Win $300 on the Astros.

Risk $360 to Win $300 on the Under.

Now, onto the Monday night game, which I really had to look over more times than Louie Anderson was thrown off the set of Coming to America for actually eating the McDowell's food.

Ive notice the past year that Peyton Manning does just enough to win. Miami has a very good defense, and I see their offense wanting to keep Manning off the field as much as possible, so they will run the ball to death.
Give us the Under 42.5.

Risk $330 to Win $300.

As Alec Baldwin says in Glengarry Glenross , "Go and do likewise gents. Money's out there. You pick it up, it's yours. You don't, I got no sympathy for you".

Spinning in Neutral Again

Like the title of yesterday's post, I jinxed myself. DOH!

After going 3-0 during the week in College Football, we skidded back and 0-3 yesterday.

Florida decided to play offense like Georgia Tech yesterday. Tim Tebow with 115 yards passing and zero touchdowns? Come on now. Tennessee down 10 with three minutes to go, and the offense is running the ball like it was up 10, then slowly walking back to the line of scrimmage??

(Sniff... Sniff...)

That smelled awfully fishy.

Lets find a silver lining. We did hit the Under in the Angels-Rangers game. Solid.

The bankroll is back in the blood, at $9,800.

Now, your NFL wages for Week 2:

Saints -1.5 over the Eagles

Now, I really do not like betting a road team against a very good home team, but with Donovan Mcnabb out, and the weather being good for Drew Brees passing, I just cannot resist the temptation.

Risk $440 to Win $400

Ravens +3.5 over the Chargers.

Just too many injuries piling up for the Bolts. LT is out, C Nick Hardwick is 99% not to play, now they lose the big boy in the middle Jamal Williams for the season. This should of been the game of the week. Remember, Oakland moved the ball and scored on a healthier Charger team. The Ravens have some horses now.

Risk $330 to Win $300

Bills -4 over the Bucs

I feel bad for the Bucs. All the anger and frustration the Bills have lingering after that Monday Night loss, will be taken out on the Bills, like Archie Bunker having a bad day at work, coming home, and Edith did not have dinner on the table yet. Ohhhh Arrrrchieeee!

Risk $330 to Win $300

Over 42.5 in the Panthers/Falcons game

I think Jake Delhomme rights the ship just enough to get us 14-17 points in this game. Golden Boy Ryan and crew will take care of the rest. Michael Turner scored 4 TDs at the Dome against the Panthers last year.

Risk $330 to Win $300

Over 42 in the Bengals/Packers game

I know I like the Bengals defense, but something just tells me that this is going to be a shootout.

Risk $220 to Win $200

TEASER!!! (Yes, I am going to be sucked in.)

For those of you playing at home, a teaser is an inverted parlay. You take three games, and you can move the spread 10 points (paying -120) in any direction. You have to win all games, and NO pushes. Tie goes to the house.

My teaser for this week is:

Redskins +0.5, Vikings PK, Packers +1, Falcons +4

Risk $360 to Win $300.

We went 6-2 last week. Let's pray for some more of the same!

NFL 6-2 Coll. Football 4-10 Baseball 7-6 Parlays 1-2

Saturday, September 19, 2009

Let's not jinx ourselves...

Wow. We are on that stretch that whatever you touch turns into gold. This is what it mustve felt like for Michael Jordan late in the 4th Quarter of the final game in the NBA Finals. Just give him the ball and he will win it somehow. That is how I feel with the betting.

Give me the spreads, I will find a way to make money! I just wished I could get away with a pushoff like MJ did against Bryon Russell in that Game 6.

We smashed both bets last night. I said Boise St. laying those points, said it was a line that smelled like a Portuguese Cathouse. Fresno St. gave them a scare, and they scored at least 17 points like I said they would, and that Boise St. would take care of the rest for the Over. Boise St. almost covered the Over by themselves.

I was watching this game, called up my friend Joe (another sick feternity member of Degenerate's of America, and the man that changed my life by persuading me to make my first bet. We will tell that story one day.) Here is how the conversation went, in the 2nd quarter, when Boise St. was embarrassing Fresno St. 24-3.

Joe: Vegas screwed up this line, they are in for a rye-kicking!

Me: Fresno just scored!

Joe: Get the *&^% out of here, let me see... WOW, the Over is looking quite tasty now.

Me: Fresno crowd is back in it, Boise went 3 and toast.

Joe: This is getting a bit interesting.... maybe Vegas did know something.

Me: The Fresno kid just broke another 60 yarder off in Boise's ass. 24-17.

Joe: Go to the window for the Over bet now, put on the diaper for the game bet.

Don't you just love those games as a bettor???

We are now 3-0 this week in College Football, upping our mark to 4-7 after a brutal start.

The bankroll is now... $10,710! We are really in the black now, and not just enough money to get me a freaking Happy Meal from Mcdonald's.

Now onto the wages:

I would love to lay 30 with Florida, but why do it when the O/U is only 52.5? Hell, Florida may put up more than 52 on their own! Over is the bet.

Risk $550 to Win $500

Syracuse likes to get beat by Big 10 teams. Northwestern is a solid program, with an experienced QB. Even though it is on the road, we like Northwestern -3

                                           Risk $330 to Win $300

Lastly, Texas wants revenge. And they get it in a big way at home over Texas Tech. No Michael Crabtree to beat them this time. Come to think of it, there is no Crabtree at all anymore. The bet is Texas -18.5

Risk $330 to Win $300

One baseball game to put in. Jared Weaver has been solid all year round, and is 4-2 with a 3.31 ERA in 13 starts lifetime against the Texas Rangers. Scott Feldman has been very good since the AS Break. Most of all, the Rangers forgot how to hit. We like the Under 9 runs.

Risk $330 to Win $300

There you have it. Now, we make some mortage money!

Profit is finally showing!

Let's throw a party! The Corner is in the black now! Yes, it is only $10 in profit, but just last week, we were down 20% of the bankroll. The rush has offically rolled in. I feel like pitching everyone about my bets now like Gordon Gecko, or at least that weird dude that had those info-mericals, Matthew Lesko.

After the Miami Hurricanes just waxed Georgia Tech, the bankroll is now at $10,010.

We lost the crazy parlay, but that is alright, we were bored last night, and just wanted a quick fix. It was quick to say the least. Cole Hamels was on, and the Nationals were not going to score much.

Tonight, Let's go right back to college football.

Boise St. only -7.5 in Fresno tonight? Tad fishy, but like a true guppy, we will bite. But we will buy the point. (bet is now -120). So Boise at -7.

Risk $480 to Win $400

We will take the Over as well, since Fresno at home will give us at least 14, Boise St. will give us the rest.

Risk $330 to Win $300 on Over 53.5

College and NFL picks tomorrow!!! Time to make some real money here all you monkeys.

Another split....

KC wound up taking the Tigers to the woodshed. My boy Zack Greinke shut down the Tigers while he stuck around, and the Royals made up for the lack of run support they have given him all season long, by putting up an 8 spot while he was still in the game.
We went 1-1, keeping us .500 in baseball, down $65 from the dreaded vig. The bankroll is now $9,710.
Tonight, we will go with Miami Hurricanes -4 over the GT Yellow Jackets. GT did not impress me last week at home against Clemson.
Risking $440 to Win $400
We are feeling a little frisky tonight, lets go 3 team baseball parlay:
Over 9 -120 in the Phillies-Nats game. Ross Detwiler is a victim.
Over 9.5 +105 in the Marlins-Reds game. Sanchez-Maloney is not appealing to a pitching fanatic.
Oakland Even Money against the Indians. Indians are dreadful on the road. And Oakland has been hitting the ball lately to boot.
Risk $100 to Win $652
LETS GO!!!!

Dull Night

Nothing special on the night session last night. We missed on the Over in the Rays-Orioles game, as the rookie Chris Tillman pitched very well, and by some strange force, so did Andy Sonnastine. Funny though, the Rays yanked Sonnastine in the 6th, after 75 pitches, damn! We were praying this 2-1 game in the 8th would of ended that way, because there was a big rain delay in the 8th inning, of a meaningless game.

Remember, Over/Under bets in baseball have to complete 8.5 innings, otherwise the wage is void.

We did hit the Over in the Cubs-Brewers game in real easy fashion. It went Over in the 4th inning, so you could of went to punch in your ticket at the window and gotten to sleep early.

The bankroll took a $15 hit, to $9,775. Big deal, so I can't hit The Sizzler for one night.

We are going to stick with the trend of day/night sessions for another day since it worked effectively yesterday. I know, I need help, but it is too late for me. That train left the station a long time ago.

Let's take the Royals on the road this afternoon, with the best pitcher in baseball on the hill. No, Tim Lincecum did not get traded to KC. Zach Greinke is on the hill though. The wager is at -105.

Greinke is 2-1 with a sub 1.20 ERA in four starts this season against the Tigers.

Risk $315 to Win $300.

Staying on the same game, day game after night game, some starters may not be playing, etc. Plus, the Tigers have Edwin Jackson on the hill to counter Greinke, who is no stiff whatsoever. Let's take the Under as well.

Risk $375 to Win $300.

We will be back in the afternoon for night wages. Hopefully, we will be in the black and can have a fiesta like no other!

Baseball 5-5.... for now.

Wednesday, September 16, 2009

On the March we go...

Boom! We have a shot at getting back to $10,000 tonight!

The idea to go really sick degenerate today, put us in the position, as we hit both afternoon baseball games, but not without having to get all tight in the ass.

We hit the Twins, no problems. Indians are putrid on the road. Twins won 7-3. Gimme that $300!

Then, I was watching bits and pieces of the Marlins-Cardinals game. I saw that Josh Johnson was on today, and going into the bottom of the 9th inning, the Marlins had a 5-1 cushion. Perfect, that means I have a one run cushion as well, and I was going to need it.

The Marlins bring in some Gas-Can, Brian Sanches, who has good stats, but teams only bring Gas-Cans into a 5-1 game in the 9th. Sanches gets the first hitter, then WALKS Jason LaRue. Now, we all know Jason LaRue, he's the biggest stiff on two feet. I was starting to get worried.

Then, Mark Derosa pinch hit, and hit a bloop ground rule double to make it 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. Now, I am really getting nervous. Florida does the right thing, and brings in their closer Leo Nunez, who, pardon my french, is a fucking arsonist.

True to arson form, Nunez plunks the first batter he sees with the very first pitch. Bases are loaded, and I see that the St. Louis crowd is going crazier than a stockbroker without cocaine. Oh no! Not him. Pujols is up with the bases loaded. I'm dead,

Nunez then plunks Pujols! 5-2 Marlins. I am hanging by the skin of my teeth. It really did not get much better after that. Bases loaded now for Matt Holliday. Just rip up the ticket man, its toast. Then, the betting Gods gave us a miracle...

Holliday grounds out into a double play! Game over! Marlins win 5-2!

LETS GO! 2-0 on afternoon baseball on a crappy day here. The bankroll is now at $9,790.

Lets get back into the black numbers tonight.

We will take the Over 7.5 +105 in the Brewers-Cubs game. Last time Rich Harden threw against the Brewers, he got hammered, and we never have had any faith in Braden Looper.

Risk $300 to win $315

The second game we will take is the Over 10 in the Rays-Orioles game. Rays starter Andy Sonnastine is trash. He gets hammered everytime he goes out there, and the O's slayed him the last time they faced him. O's starter is a promising young rookie, Chris Tillman, who can be up or down, but all we are asking for from Tillman is 3 runs in 6 innings, Sonnastine we take care of the rest.

Risk $330 to Win $300

Baseball 4-4, College Football 1-7, NFL 6-2, Parlays 1-1

Oh well....

Well, I was partially right last night. For the first two innings, Nationals starter Garret Mock was a victim. Phillies put up a 5 piece for me, and I was doing the Irish Jig early. It was the only thing satisfying that I got out of that last night.

Cliff Lee shut out the Nationals, and the victim shut the door after the 2nd inning. It happens.

The bankroll is now at $9,150.

We will do two posts today, as I will be taking an afternoon baseball game, so I have something to entertain me today, with another possible post for a night game later.

We like the Under 7.5 in the pitching matchup in St. Louis of Florida's ace Josh Johnson and Joel Pinerio. Day games after night games, you will not get some regulars in there, plus the possibility of that afternoon shadow hanging over the stadium.

Risk $330 to win $300

The other game I like is the Twins over the Indians today @ -155. Joe Mauer is raking again, and he has backhanded Indians starts Aaron Laffey in his career, going 5-13 with a bomb. Indians are also DREADFUL on the road this season, going 19-53.

Risk $465 to Win $300

You people realize that I announced that I will have two different betting posts today? It is like the US Tennis Open. We have both Day and Night Sessions. Yes, I need help...

Tuesday, September 15, 2009

We'll take the split, but.....

If you watched last nights football games, both had a movie-like scripted ending. Two top powerhouse offenses, struggling all night long, and in the final 7 minutes of each game, both the Pats and Chargers just JUST ENOUGH to win the games.

This is what we call skimming.  A bettor, especially of the sick degenerate kind, will think in his warped head, that if both teams could've dont that all night long, why didn't they?

Their answers are always the same. They enough just to win, and not cover the spread. Now, I am not a believer of this sick theory, but last night's games did not help the argument that these degenerates are nuts.

We split last night. Hitting both Overs and losing both spreads. 6-2 for the NFL start is very pleasing. The Bankroll is now at $9,590.

Tonight, back to baseball, as we will take the Over 9 in Philly tonight. Cliff Lee has struggled lately, and the Nats do have a better than average lineup. Nats pitcher Garret Mock is a victim as well.

Risk $440 to Win $400 tonight on the Over 9 in the Nats-Phillies game.

Baseball 2-3, College Football 1-7, NFL 6-2, Parlays 1-1

Is it beautiful, or is it not?

There are few things in life that are just so beautiful, it is tough to describe with words.

A perfect sunset, that smile from a beautiful girl intending for you, witnessing your first born's birth are just some of the few I could think of off the top of my head. Oh, here is another one.

Hitting 3-3 on your NFL bets on Sunday, then rolling all 3 bets up like a good joint, and hitting that parlay as well!!! (No, I do not condone marijuana. No, seriously. No, I did not roll my eyes when I said that.)

I have said that we needed to right the ship, because the first 2 weeks of college football made me feel like a banker in Riker's Island for a weekend.

Minny ran roughshot over the Brownies, Baltimore's offense looked like how their defense is suppose to be, and the Over in New Orleans? Well, I hit the ticket window on that one with 6 minutes left in the half.

The Tilt parlay was huge as well. We cut into the red numbers big time, up $1950 for the day. The bankroll is now at $9,650, only down $350 after College Football made me feel like a virgin on Prom Night.

Now onto the Monday Night Games:

Tonight is all about the Chaulk. We like both the Pats and Bolts. We also like them doing it in style.

Risking $330 to win $300 on 4 bets tonight.

Pats -11 and Over 47- Brady is back. Time to go back to arcade style offense.

Bolts -10 and Over 42.5- Bolts have a tendecy to whore out the Raiders.

Lets keep this hot steak in the NFL going!

Thank God the NFL is here...

This week, I decided to go with the numbers with betting. Stupid move.

We did hit the Over in the horror show of a bloodbath that was basically the end of Oklahoma St.'s season.

We missed on the Under in the Cubs-Reds game, thanks to top shelf defense by the Cubs, 3 errors in one inning.

Charlie Weis should have to owe me $440 for that ungodly awful thing he does called thinking. Pass the ball up by 3 with less than 3 minutes left? You fat, dumb moron. Have another donut and think about that again, while I ice my ass because of your decison making.

But the best of the day, Georgia and South Carolina's offenses last week looked like two swimmer with no arms trying to stay afloat in the ocean. This week? Let's put it this way, the game went over by 8 minutes left.... in the 2nd quarter. Now that is comedy. All you can do is laugh it off.

This is why Vegas has a new posh club every week. You're welcome Mirage.

1-3 for the day, down $700, the bankroll is now $7,740.
Again, thank GOD the NFL is here.
Here are my picks for Sunday:

Vikings -4 over the Browns - Yes I know, good Vikings team on the road against an awful Browns team and i am only laying 4? Smells as fishy as hearing Amy Winehouse successfully completing rehab.

I just cannot see Cleveland scoring much on that solid defense, especially with 2 Tons of Fun (The Williams DT's) cleared to play. We will risk $660 to win $600.

Over Baltimore Ravens 24.5 points scored @ even money. Yes, I think the Ravens defense scores 7 by themselves this week. Ray Rice will have some fun as well.

Risk $350 to Win $350.

Lastly, I know I should not bet an Over this high in Week 1, but I remember the Saints-Lions game from last season. And the Saints just went NUTS on the Lions. Granted, the Saints have a few injuries to bear, but that will make them throw even more. The Lions will get their fair share of points as well. Over 48.5.

Risk $440 to Win $400.

What the hell, I feel so confident in these picks.... wrapped them all up in a parlay as well for $100.

Risking $100 to Win $600 (I am prolly on Tilt here, and burning money, but go with me here.)

Lets hope the change of pace gives us the Winning Streak we need. I feel like Axel in The Gambler right now, paying my bookie..

"Theres 2, 3, 4, 44 with the Vig."

Almost there, College Picks

Another chop/chop last night. Hit with the Royals and missed on the Over in Philly because the Phillies left 13 runners on base and were something like 3-19 with runners in scoring position. Nice one champs!

Since we split last night, we just pay the piper the Vig. Down $45 from last night.

The bankroll is now $8,440 (-$1560)

Now, lets try this College Football thing all over again, like NOTHING ever happened last week.

Lets go with the Under 40 in the Georgia-South Carolina game. Both teams defenses looked very good last weekend, and both offenses looked like a bunch of blind squirrels looking for nuts. Even last year's game was low scoring.

Risking $440 to Win $400

We will also take the Over 67.5 in the Oklahoma St-Houston game, as both teams should be up and down the field like mad men today.

Risking $440 to Win $400

Lastly, yes, I dont believe im actually betting this game, but, we will be rooting for the Irish in Michigan today. Claussen looks like the real deal, and he has talent at WR. We are taking Notre Dame -3 at The Big House over Michigan today.

Risking $440 to Win $400

We are going to toss a small baseball bet in today as well. Johnny Cueto is 4-10 against the Over/Under on the road this season. Randy Wells is 8-14 overall against the O/U. Seems like a formula for the Under today.

Under 8 Risking $220 to Win $200

Summary of the picks:

Under 40 in the Georgia-South Carolina game. $440-$400

Over 67.5 in the Okie St.-Houston game. $440-$400

Notre Dame -3 $440-$400

Under 8 in the Reds-Cubs game. $220-$200.

As Worm would say in Rounders, with his eyes wide enough to pop outta its sockets.

Wow, lotta action!, lotta action!

Baseball 2-2, College Football 0-4, NFL 1-0

On the right track in the NFL!

Last night should've been the beginning of the comeback trail.

I am flipping between NBC for the Titan-Steeler war, and the whores that are ESPN, and I see these 2 scores.

Titans 0, Steelers 0

and

Georgia Tech 21, Clemson 0.

This was perfect! GT is at home and releasing the hounds on Clemson, and I have a close game in Pitt. Sounds like a banner night..

Then, Georgia Tech melted down like Michael Richards on stage in front of a crowd. Up 24-7, Clemson fired off 20 straight points, and took a 27-24 lead IN Tech's house!

I was saying to myself in my head "Pressure's building." I didnt want to have to snap like a Slim Jim.

Anyway, GT wins, but does not cover because they get inside the 20 late, and decided to run clock out instead of ending it right there. Im sure the coaching staff took the points and Clemson.

It was a semi-profitable night. Hit the Titans, missed on GT. Up $70 for the night. Red Losbter time!!!

The bankroll is now $8,485.

I will give tonights baseball pick, and toss a column Sat. morning for the College games.

I am going to take the Royals tonight, on the road. Why? Because Zack Greinke is pitching against a weak Indians lineup, who he has dominated lately. Being on the road gives me the good odds at -137.

Greinke and the Royals tonight Risking $411 to Win $300.

I am also going to take the Over 8.5 @ -115 in the Mets-Phillies game. The Mets usually hit Cole Hamels pretty good, and the Phillies will get plenty of runs against a stiff like Figeroua. I just hope the weather holds up.

Over 8.5 Risking $340 to Win $300.

We feel the roll coming.

Baseball Record 1-1, College Football 0-4, NFL 1-0

Finally on the Cadillac Board!!!!!

So I was watching the Braves-Astros game last night, and I see Wandy Rodriguez doing exactly what he has all season at home. Seven innings of 3 hit, 1 run ball. I should've been psyched, but I couldn't be. Why?

Tommy Hanson was throwing a gem, tossing 8 shutout innings in under 100 pitches. I am finally starting to think that I am just snake-bitten this week in betting, then I got a favor.

Bobby Cox yanked the rookie, for closer Rafael Soriano!! Thank you!

The outcome? Astros score 2 in the 9th, and finally gave me a winner.

We did lose the parlay last night, but we will forget about that.

Last night's profit was $300. ($500 on the Astros win - $200 for the failed parlay)

The Bankroll is now at $8,415.(-1,585)

We are 0-3 in College Football, 1-1 in baseball on straight bets. And now, the NFL is here! Oh boy, im twitching like a fat boy in a candy shop now.

Tonight, we will go with the Tennessee Titans +6.5 against the Steelers. Last year, the Titans beat the Steelers 31-13, without Albert Haynesworth. I think it will be a close game either way, so we will take the points.

Risk $440 to win $400 on the Titans +6.5.

We will also take Georgia Tech -5 tonight over Clemson. GT's Triple Option Offense is a pain in the ass to get ready for, and Clemson is doing on it on a short week of practice.

Risk $330 to win $300 on the Yellow Jackets -5.

Let's Go!

Banging Head on Desk

It's always nice to start off 0-4 right? Last night, we took the gaspipe because of Tim Lincecum's back, Jason Marquis pitching like its the Little League World Series again, and let's face it, the Reds really do suck balls.

The bankroll dropped $440 from last night's loss. We are now at $8,075. Down 20% already.

God, I do not want to start going with the teasers and parlays just yet...

Tonight, we are going with the Houston Astros at home. Wandy Rodriguez is 11-2 at home this season in games he starts. So tonight, we will go $625 risking to win $500 (-125) , riding the left arm of Wandy.

We will also do a small parlay tonight, just an attempt to make some moves here. We will wager $200 on the Arizona Diamondbacks and ace Dan Haren at home (-122), and the Over in the game (8.5 @ -115) since former Diamondback and Dodger start Jon Garland is 3-10 when it comes to O/U's this season in the desert.
The thrid game we will toss into this, is the Detriot Tigers on the road against a weak KC Royals team. Tigers have Verlander on the hill, so we are confident, even  @ -187.

So tonight's bets are:

$625 to win $500 tonight on the Houston Astros.

3 Team Parlay (If you need to know the definition of parlay, dont taint yourself, run away from this blog).
DBacks -122, Dodgers-DBacks Over 8.5 @-115, and Det -187,

$200 to win $844.25.

I need a winner badly. Do not let me down.

We got scratched...

Giants starting pitcher Tim Lincecum was scratched from his start tonight for back spasms. I should've mentioned this in the previous blog, but any baseball bet I make is with Listed Pitchers, meaning, if one of the starting pitchers do not start that game, the wage is called off.

Now, to offset this, I will take the Over 9.5 in the Reds-Rockies game for $400.

So now, the wage is Over 9.5, risking $440 to win $400.

Wish me luck, otherwise, we might be bridejumping sooner than expected.

The Bloodbath

I made the first mistake of being a degenerate this weekend. I bet on the opening weekend of a sport basically on the blind. I only knew about what I saw from these teams last year and went with it. Well, it cost me in the wallet.

I took the Over Oregon-Boise St., and a team that averaged close to 40 a game last year, didn't have a first down until the 3rd quarter. Just rip up that ticket.

Then, I had the Over in the Illinois-Missouri game. Illinois is loaded atheletically and should put up 30. Wrong! Illinois lost their best player, WR Arreilous Benn early in the game, and they could not score for their lives. Another torn ticket.

Last, I was hoping LSU could salvage my weekend against Washington. Washington was horrific last season, and LSU brought back most of their team from last year. Well, the Huskies just moved the ball up and down the field all night, and LSU winds up not covering. If that garbage touchdown at the end of the game would've cost me this bet, my foot would've went into my TV, ala James Caan in The Gambler with his radio in the bathtub losing a basketball bet when Jerry West missed 3 free throws in a row, and outta nowhere you heard, "SPENCER HAYWOOD!"

Let's try to look at this in a positive way. At least we got the bloodbath over with early. Now, it is time to roll out the winners left and right.

Here is how we look after last weekend:

Lost $1485 ($550+$550+$385), so the bankroll is down to $8515. (I feel like the stock market at the end of George W. Bush's presidency).

We need an easy and fast winner, so what will we do?

In Tim Lincecum we trust...especially against the Padres.

We will wager $810 to win $300 on the SF Giants on Tuesday at -270.

We will also wager $342 to win $300 on the Run Line in the same game (win by more than 1.5 runs) at -114.

Hopefully, this game is in the bag, otherwise, I should just start writing a blog on my trip to Gambler's Anonymous.

The Bet

We know America loves sports, but common sense also tell us something else. Sports betting is as American as apple pie. It controls sports programming, and if you think otherwise, why are there now Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Monday college football games? Why did the NFL start Monday Night Football? Why are ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball games usually the only baseball game left on the schedule that night?

Simple answer is, sports betting. Wayne Root, a famous Vegas handicapper has stated this common sense in the past. It is ways for the common degenerate to have one last grasp on getting his/her fix. The television networks are no fools either. They know this, and exploit it. They make money off of our sickness, but we still love them for it.

The premise for this is simple. I will start off with a $10,000 bankroll. I will post my wages on the site, with how much I'm risking, winning, etc. I will always use ScoresandOdds.com for the lines.

Along the way, the new novice bettor will learn new terms and lingo that really, only true degenerates know and say. I will keep a Glossary on the site for some of these terms, so if you are not understanding, you can grasp the grammar.

Now for this week's wages:
I will take the Over (65) in tonight's Oregon-Boise St game. Risking $550 to Win $500
(Yes, one thing in life you will always have to do, is pay the Vig).
We like Over games here, makes the game you bet and watch more exciting!!! Lets risk $550 to Win $500 on the Over (61) in the Missouri-Illinois game.
Lastly, I really would of taken Charleston Southern +73 over Florida, but it was not on the board. The 1985 Chicago Bears could play some Pop Warner 12 year old team, and I would still would not lay that kind of wood.

So, I will take LSU -18 over Washington. This one, we will risk $385 to Win $350.
So, the wages are:
Over 65 Oregon-Boise St. $550/$500
Over 61 Missouri/Illinois $550/$500
LSU -18 $385/$350
There you have it. The needle went into the arm. I will probaly need an intervention by December.
